Our Hours:
The Visitor Center at Blandford Nature Center is open Monday through Friday, 9-5. The trails are open everyday, from dawn to dusk.
Our General Store is run on a volunteer basis and generally open every day. To check what hours it will be open, please call (616) 735.6240
Directions:
Blandford Nature Center is located at the end of Hillburn Avenue, north of Leonard Street in Northwest Grand Rapids. Follow. U.S. 131 until the Leonard Street exit, and travel west about 3.5 miles to Hillburn.
RAPID buses stop at the corner of Hillburn Avenue and Leonard Street. A 2/3-mile walk north on Hillburn brings you to our Visitor Center. For more information, call The Rapid at (616) 776-1100, or visit their website.
Programs
Join one of our Programs! A variety of year-round innovative, multidisciplinary programs are available on and off site. These include K-5 elementary, home school, Traveling Naturalist, Mixed Greens school gardens, Blandford Farm,Discovery Day Camp as well as custom programs with facility rentals. Historical Buildings
Visit the many historic pioneer buildings. Our 19th century authentic Star Schoolhouse
(available for rent), log cabin and sugarhouse provide a great educational experience. The General Store sells a variety of goods- from old fashioned candies and toys to educational tools for exploring the outdoors.
